Also, I assume that the physics have been updated from one game to the next which may result in imperfect translations. Keep in mind that all DR 2.0 settings may not have been used in the older games or they may be different in some other way. To do that most often requires converting units of measurement, as they are different between the games and the ones you will need are as follows: Ok, so what I have tried on a handful of cars is taking Rally Technical’s tuning info for DR 2.0 cars and applying it as best as possible (go by the numbers, NOT the slider positions) to the cars in DiRT 4 and DiRT Rally.

But this should get the cars at least close to their DR 2.0 counterparts as well as give you a chance to apply the info in the setup guides and have a good starting point for learning to tune the cars.

However, I have found a way to somewhat apply his DR 2.0 setups to the same cars in DiRT 4 and DiRT Rally, but be aware that some additional tweaking will likely be needed. ( Update: The R5, Group B and older WRC car setups are awesome as well.)Īs you can see above, there isn’t really an all-in-one setup option for DiRT 4 or DiRT Rally like that which is provided by Rally Technical for DiRT Rally 2.0. So I can’t attest to the faster cars setups aside from running single stages in the daily challenges, but every tune I have loaded from GTR Rally Technical has helped immensely. Most of my racing on DiRT Rally 2.0 so far has been in the R2 and F2 Kit Car class, occasionally venturing off into NR4/R4, R5, Super 1600’s RX, and RX2. I highly recommend liking his videos and subscribing to his channel. ( Update: His handle is now Rally Technical) I have tried a lot of different setups during the early stages of my console sim racing adventure, across various games, but the setups from GTR Technical for DR 2.0 are superb, every time. Even better than having a good formula to follow is when someone has taken the time to share great setups for practically every car in the game, on every track, and even in many cases for multiple conditions and tires.īy far, the best resource I have found for DiRT Rally 2.0 car tuning setups is GTR Technical on Youtube. However, trying to find the optimal tuning setup without a good formula to follow can be a time consuming and frustrating endeavor. Having the car tuned with a proper setup is important in any racing game, and DiRT Rally 2.0 is no exception.
